Based on high-performing results from its inaugural Innovation Forum, the Rockefeller Foundation once again hired Blue State Digital to support an upcoming live event with digital communications. The three-week Bellagio Summit engaged practitioners, opinion leaders, social entrepreneurs and donors from around the world to explore trends and opportunities in philanthropy and development and formulate a new framework for philanthropy and development for a changing world.

As lead communications strategist, I joined a three-person video team on site in Bellagio Initative for the three week program to produced daily live event coverage including emails, on-camera interviews, and social media posts across Twitter, Facebook and YouTube.

BY THE NUMBERS

  • Reached a global audience of 5000+ audience members, far exceeding the on-site participant capacity.

  • Produced 22 videos, daily email recaps, and hundreds of social media posts with daily live tweets of panels during the three-week program.

  • Increased the Bellagio Initiative’s email list by 435% over the three week program. Emails outperformed all pre-existing statistics with average open rates of 50% during the Summit.
